Our Story: From Papa’s Plate to Your Pet’s Bowl
Ancestral Raw Nutrition – Built on Love, Fueled by Purpose.
Our raw feeding journey began long before Ancestral Raw Nutrition was founded in 2014. It started in the heart of our home—with our beloved pit bull, Tank, affectionately known as “Papa.”
Papa was family. But like many pets today, he struggled with chronic health issues tied to diet. From puppyhood, he suffered from painful hot spots, constant ear infections, and relentless itchy skin. Despite years of vet visits, premium kibble, and medications, his condition worsened. As he aged, Papa experienced weight loss, fatigue, loss of appetite, and was eventually diagnosed with stage 2 kidney disease. The heartbreak was real, and the answers were few.
Determined to help him, co-founder Manuel began researching natural approaches to canine health. In his home kitchen, he created a simple raw blend—just clean, whole ingredients, shaped into individual frozen blocks for easy feeding. That first recipe became known as the La Casa Blend.
Papa’s transformation was extraordinary. He gained back his strength, his allergies disappeared, his energy returned, and his appetite was stronger than ever. Most importantly, his life was extended by six more vibrant, happy years.
That journey became our mission.

Today, Ancestral Raw Nutrition—an evolution of our roots, focused on providing truly species-appropriate, prey model raw food. Our recipes are crafted with high-quality ingredients in a licensed and inspected facility, and delivered directly to your door.
